*To mark the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Family Day, Tan Uyen district yesterday held a family festive day for 51 outstanding families.

Speaking at a meeting to review the province’s service development program between 2006 and 2010 held yesterday, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung spoke highly of the local service sector’s achievements over the past time while mentioning some shortcomings for change.

“Improving energy using efficiency in SMEs” project in Binh Duong has over the last 5 years showed remarkable results. The project, supported by Ministry of Technology and Science, UNDP and Global Environmental Fund is to improve energy using efficiency in small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

 

Binh Duong’s Lai Thieu mangosteen and HCM city’s Can Gio sweet mango defeated nearly 500 samples of delicious fruits to grasp two first prizes at the “delicious, safe fruit” contest, which was held during the Southern Fruit Festival 2011 at Suoi Tien Cultural Tourist Park in HCM city’s district 9.

Over the past 5 months, the mobilization of “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods” has been won great response from businesses, entrepreneurs and people nationwide.

Nguyen Trong Hung in hamlet 6 in Ben Cat district’s Thoi Hoa commune has become famous with the model of raising deer and stags for horns, bringing hi-economic efficiency. In addition to horns, his farmstead has supplied breeding deer and stags for those who have the demand for purchasing them.
