*Since early 2013, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have mobilized and presented 103 wheelchairs worth more than VND200mln to Agent Orange victims and disable people across the province.

Early November 21, Phu Giao district’s Red Cross Society held a get-together to mark the 67th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946-November 23, 2013).

The figure was released at a conference titled  “Vietnamese women in foreign countries” held in Hanoi on November 19 by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs and the Vietnam Women’s Union.

The United States’ University of Utah will provide a training course on first aid for 50 Vietnamese doctors, who are working at emergency wards in Vietnam.

Provincial Red Cross Society has just teamed up with the Red Cross Society of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. to organize a delegation to visit and present 200 gifts to poor ethnic minority people, the disabled and Agent Orange victims in Tanh Linh district’s Duc Phu commune in the south-central province of Binh Thuan.

A requiem for those who died in traffic accidents was held by provincial Traffic Safety Committee in conjunction with provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Board and relevant agencies at Hoi An pagoda in Binh Duong New City on the evening of November 17.  Provincial leaders burning incense to commemorate those who died in traffic accidents

This activity was to promulgate and educate tradition of “respect teachers and morality” and principle of “When drinking water, remember its source” as well as uphold creation and cleverness for children.

The statement was made by Dam Trong Cuong, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Transport on the occasion of the “World Day of Remembrance for Victims of Road Traffic Accidents”. Binh Duong Daily had an interview with Mr. Cuong to know more about this issue.
