As an industrial province, Binh Duong has encountered labor disputes, strikes and go-slows. To minimize strikes and labor disputes, the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has held many training classes on collective negotiation skills, labor dispute settlement skills for local businesses.  Businesses’ mediators join in a training class.

In response to “Day for the poor” campaign, February 3rd Construction Investment JSC (CIC 3-2) just donated VND200mil to the fund.

In this year, the town Labor Union has held 45 training classes on mapping out and implementing labor agreements at businesses with the participation of 1,468 people.

In his speech, Mr Nhan said the number of hand-foot-mouth infections recorded this year is ten times higher than last year so the health sector and local leaders need to step up communication about controlling the disease.

My Phuoc township is a political, economic and cultural center of Ben Cat district with the natural area of 2,150.8ha and 5 quarters. Security activities and maintenance in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP1) have been asserted as a practical and effective model to be expanded in terms of permanent people’s militias.

An essential way

The first ever festival of young human resources in 2011 organized by provincial Student Association was within expectation of students in Binh Duong who enjoyed a whole day involving knowledge and skills supplement to meet requirements of recruiting employers. The festival also helped them to be able to determine personal ‘talent’ and skills to adapt as well as information about HR policies.

The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the city’s Fund for the Poor and HCM City Television.

The annual event attracted more than 1,000 people including young people and students aiming to promote cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam.

The commitment was made by the WB Special Envoy for Climate Change, Andrew Steer, during his recent visit to Vietnam for discussions about the Climate Change Partnership (VNCLIP).

Foster Electric (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in cooperation with doctors of Van Phuc Hospital in Thu Dau Mot town yesterday offered free health check-ups and medicines for 300 poor households and Khme ethnic people in Vinh Hoa Hung Nam commune, Go Quao district, Kien Giang province and presented over 100 gifts to the poor in the same province.

With topics of “pollution in Dong Nai River valley and improvement”, “communication skills of environmental protection” and so on, participants enjoyed knowledge and skill of environmental protection.

As an industrial province with 28 industrial parks and compounds and over 1.6 million of residents, Binh Duong has suffered pressure on waste, especially urban and industrial wastes. Therefore, the urgent issue is how to collect, transport and treat kinds of wastes to ensure environmental hygiene and sustainable development.
