Early October 22, Di An town’s Red Cross Society had a working session with an inter-sectorial inspection delegation of the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) Central Committee, headed by Nguyen Huu Hong, Vice-Chairman of the VRC.

The provincial leaders have always considered work on population, family and planning is a crucial task and an indispensable part in the local strategy of socio-economic development. Therefore, birth of many concrete strategies and policies on population, family and planning has helped population ordinance be launched effectively.

After hearing reports of results of implementing movements for students, participants contributed many ideas to documents of the national congress for Vietnamese Students’ Association. These ideas include reinforcement of living skills for students, establishment of English clubs, organization of job fairs for students and many more.

Helping poor students go to school

Late October 21, Huynh Van Nhi, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received and worked with a delegation of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) Central Committee, led by Nguyen Huu Hong Vice-Chairman of the VRC Central Committee, to review the local five-year implementation of the Law on Red Cross activities and relevant documents.

Ben Cat district has just held a ceremony to launch the 2013 joint public relations program at the People’s Committee of Cay Truong commune.

Huynh Thanh Chau, a resident in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward said: “In response to the campaign of  the Day for the Poor and the appeal of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, I and my family directly presented gifts to lonely people, the disabled and poor households or built houses of compassion for them over the past time. I felt very happy when getting involved in the above social charity activities”.

Provincial Women’s Union, on October 18, held a get-together to mark the 83rd anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2013) and the 3rd anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010 and October 20, 2013).
